The site is situated to the south of Boughton Road, Moulton. To the eastern site boundary is the recently completed housing development comprising of 125 homes, developed by Mulberry Homes. The land to the west and north remains agricultural.
It is considered that the scheme is a natural extension to the recently constructed homes as shown on the Illustrative Masterplan.
Following the merger of the districts of Daventry, Northampton and South Northamptonshire a new Local Plan for West Northamptonshire is being prepared. Consultation on Issues and Options (Regulation 18) Consultation was undertaken between April to June 2024. The current review emphasises the need to identify suitable housing sites. Hallam Land has put this land forward for potential future development to the Council, through the Local Plan review process.
The development of the Site would be a natural addition to the village of Moulton, supporting the delivery of West Northampton’s housing need and supporting the sustainable growth of Moulton.
