THE PROPOSAL

Vision


The vision for the site is to create a high quality neighbourhood of approximately 75 homes, offering a diverse mix of housing options, including affordable homes, designed to meet the needs of all generations.

This new neighbourhood will be surrounded by landscaped green spaces for the benefit of new and existing residents, all within easy walking distance of Moulton’s excellent local services.

Illustrative Masterplan


An illustrative masterplan, showing how the site could be developed is shown below.

Work has commenced on commissioning technical studies to support a future outline application for residential development of approximately 75 homes. The outcome of the technical studies may result in changes to the illustrative layout.

The mix of housing is not fixed at this stage. The mix of housing will depend on the local needs and will be determined through consultation with West Northamptonshire Council. It is envisaged that there will be a mix of house sizes and types, ranging from 2 to 5 bed houses to meet the needs of first time buyers, families and people wishing to downsize, providing homes for all generations.

Placemaking is at the heart of the illustrative masterplan with the inclusion of public open space, an equipped area of play and areas of distinct character throughout the development.

Benefits of the Site


The site will provide housing for West Northamptonshire’s need as well as offering a well-designed place for future residents. Also, due to the location of the site to Moulton it has good links to the high street and local facilities. We are keen to hear your views on what facilities you would like to see provided on the site to compliment the existing facilities within the area.
